Audio Storytelling for the Greatest Audience
We are concerned with what makes stories, news, presentations hold someone's attention and what causes people to decide to give up and listen to something else.
The course is for; broadcasters, podcasters, public speakers, entrepreneurs, social media users and influencers, bloggers and media students.
We will study the fundamentals of great storytelling regardless of the technological platform, by learning:
* Good Story
* Audio
* Telling Good Audio Story
* Audience Gratification
Note:
Audio story telling is one of the oldest storytelling forms and it’s having a renaissance thanks to technological changes. It’s adaptable by its ability to take different forms, and powerful for its sustainable effect on information dissemination, business and knowledge generation. It’s cheap with rich outcomes.
Revolution in computing technology has opened up some new possibilities for the form. Mobile communication devices hooked up to the internet and then connected up to our ears with earbuds created access and interest in audio files leading to podcasting. Following this are accesses to audio, enabled by innovative platforms like Alexa, Google, Siri, Soundcloud, Spotify and other systems. Before this shift, radio served as the main platform for audio consumption.
Class Duration: 3hrs on Zoom
(West African Time)
Saturday 6 November 2021 (5 - 7.30pm)
Sunday 7 November 2021 (5 - 7.30pm)
